3-5 SPLIT STONE
It is 30-50mm in diameter and is used as a base in road construction. Another main function for this stone is as ballast for the train track construction because of its ability to dampen the vibration when train is passing through. The composition of stones in a track bed creates a drainage system that makes it possible for the rain water to seeps through the stone thus avoiding soil erosion in that area. Also, to prevent plants from growing along the track bed. This split stone product is also often used as the cover / pipe ballast in offshore pipe installation.
1-2 SPLIT STONE
10-20mm split stone has a wide array of application in the molding of various kinds of constructions, from light to heavy ones, such as the constructions of highways, bridges, pilling, high rise building, airport runway, etc.
2-3 SPLIT STONE
This 20-30mm in diameter product is mostly used in the floor molding and horizontal concrete pouring process.
SCREENING
Screening is split stone with 5-10mm in diameter, used as the mixing material in the road asphalt paving process (AMP – Asphalt Mixing Plant). Its tiny size makes it possible to fill up the gaps or the micro holes that can’t be filled in by other stones, to create a flat surface layer ready to be paved with asphalt.
STONE DUST
It has a diameter below 5mm, used as the main component of brick, hollow brick, paving block, and culvert. Stone dust helps to bind particles of various sizes into one and can be used as a substitute for sand.
BOULDER
Boulder is a stone measuring over 300 mm. Due to its large size, elephant stone is used for filling swampy areas, coastal reclamation, as shipyard foundations, breakwaters, and simple pier foundations. It is also suitable for landscaping applications as retaining walls, traffic blocks, and decorative boulders for gardens and waterfalls, as it can create dramatic effects in various landscapes.
AGGREGATES & SAND
Aggregates is a mixture of various split stones including stone dust and sand, and is a main component of hardening structure in road construction and is also commonly used as the second or third layer in the stockpiling of an area where the condition of the ground beneath is stable enough. Aggregates’ composition can be adjusted per customer’s request, depending on the needs and the types of construction that is being done.
Sand functions as the base material in wall plastering and as the raw material in molding for all types of buildings. It is also used as the adhesive in brick and tile setting.
